School has started for the big kids and its already September. Hopefully that means some cooler weather. Ms. Brandy went back to school in Emporia. We will miss her but will see her again next summer. Also we will miss Cash and AJ who moved up to Ms. Dona's class. They are BIG boys now. On another note, I want to welcome Ms. Kathy to Toddler 2 as well as Cole & Mason. I'm so glad to have you.
I hope everyone enjoyed the carnival. It was a ton of FUN! Thanks to everyone that helped out with that. There are a lot of exciting things in store for September.

We welcome AJ, Cash and Jordan to our room and a special goodbye to Blaine, Roland and Alexis.
August was a great month. We all enjoyed "SEA LIFE" and still play the FISH SONG. Carnival gave us the chance to have Elly the Elephant visit from the Circus. We even painted her picture and made her a special nose that moves! Her clown friend was a very sparkly fellow! It was a real "kick" for me to see families at the carnival. Thank you for attending.
We will be checking out our eyes, ears, nose, mouth and touch for the next few weeks. You can ask your child to POINT out the pictures in the room.
Just to remind you Labor Day Holiday will be September 6th this year.
Ms. Dona

Dear Parents-
I would like to welcome everyone back. We will not be using the file folders anymore because they are taking off the paint of the wall. If you would like to know how your child is doing please let me know and I will leave a note taped to their cubby.

Welcome to Preschool 2! Mr. Evan & myself are so very excited to be working with your children. We are already in full swing of our school year. We have been working on the classroom rules, which are:
The past two weeks we worked on getting to know each other and learning our colors and shapes. The kids are really doing well with our schedule and activities.
Preschool 2 has decided NOT to use the colored behavior chart. We would like to know how YOU would like to be notified on how your child is doing. Whether it be email, a note everyday or phone calls. They are just getting the hang of Preschool 2 so this is what we would like to use until the first of the year. Please feel free to talk to Evan or myself.
Evan's hours are 7am-3pm and mine are 7:30am-5pm. Ms. Brett is new to Preschool 2 and will be teaching in the afternoons.
Please bring new toothbrushes if your haven't in the last month. Please check your child's cubby and make sure that they have 2 changes of clothes. To send things home we would like every child to have a back pack of some sort. Thank you!

I would like to introduce myself. I am Ms. Felicia, the new Pre-K teacher. Here is a little background information on me. I have worked at Rainbows United as a sign language Interpreter at the Kids Cove Branch. I was also a teacher at Little Lambs. I have already spent some time with my new class but I would like to welcome them to Pre-Kindergarten!
We are doing A LOT this year, from learning manners to writing skills and everything in between. Parents, a little heads up. You can expect to see your kids using some sign language at home. I do it a lot in the classroom. I would like to invite all the parents to come in from time to time and join in on all the fun. I will miss the class that just moved onto Kindergarten. Good luck guys! I know you will do great.
Ms. Felicia & Mr. Randy

Also, please take out everything in your child's cubby every Friday! My hours are Monday - Friday: 6:30am - 3:00pm.
Thank you, Ms. Jennifer

School is back in and hopefully all is going well. I guess we will find out come report card time :)
The School Age Room is eerily silent after all the hustle and bustle of loading on the buses for school. To be quite honest, we miss all of the noise of rambunctious young individuals. Luckily though, they will return for a few days this month. Goddard and Wichita will be out the 7th, Maize will be out on the 16th and 17th, and then Goddard again on the 27th. If you plan for your child to attend please make sure they are signed up! First come, first served basis and they fill up quick. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
