On April 11th & 12th, the staff, family and friends of Open Arms undertook the task of improving the mulch situation we have been having in our playgrounds.  Instead of using wood mulch this year, we removed all the wood mulch and dirt from the 4 playgrounds and replaced it with rubber mulch, which arrived in 36 one-ton bags.  We worked for 12 hours on Saturday and 7 hours on Sunday and we were able to complete 2 of the largest playgrounds on site.  A bit sore and sunburnt but well worth the effort to see the kids enjoy a safe, environment friendly play area.
